Energy Efficiency Help: NJ Municipalities and School Districts Encouraged to Apply for Free Technical Assistance to Reduce Energy Use and Increase Savings

Funding for technical assistance provided by Elizabethtown Gas and South Jersey Gas

Today, Sustainable Jersey announced an energy technical assistance program for municipalities and school districts located in the Elizabethtown Gas and South Jersey Gas service territories. Applicants will be accepted on a rolling basis beginning in May 2023. Municipalities and school districts in municipalities served by Elizabethtown Gas and South Jersey Gas are encouraged to apply for the Sustainable Jersey Energy Technical Assistance Program.

Sustainable Jersey energy staff will work with the selected municipalities and school districts to identify and apply for available incentives for energy efficiency audits and facility upgrades from Elizabethtown Gas and South Jersey Gas and New Jersey’s Clean Energy Program.

With financial support from Elizabethtown Gas and South Jersey Gas the technical assistance is offered at no cost to eligible municipalities and school districts. “Elizabethtown Gas and South Jersey Gas are proud to provide financial assistance for the Sustainable Jersey Energy Technical Assistance Program which will be offered at no cost to eligible municipalities and school districts,” said Melissa Orsen, President, SJI Utilities, and SVP, SJI. “We always look for ways to educate our customers on how to be energy efficient, save money and conserve energy. This program complements our expanding suite of efficiency and conservation efforts to be a clean energy partner in New Jersey.”
