Application Process Open for Grants to Support NJ Sustainability Projects

Today, Sustainable Jersey announced that it is accepting grant applications for sustainability projects. The 2022 Sustainable Jersey Grants Program cycle, funded by the PSEG Foundation, will award: $200,000 to municipalities and $100,000 to schools and school districts.

Grants for Municipalities: Four $20,000 project grants, eight $10,000 project grants and twenty $2,000 project or green team support grants will be awarded to municipalities participating in the Sustainable Jersey certification program. Interested applicants are encouraged to join a webinar on December 13, 2021 that will review project ideas and the application process. For more information visit: bit.ly/SJPSEGGrants. The application deadline for grant submittal is February 11, 2022.

Grants for Schools and School Districts: Four $10,000 project grants and thirty $2,000 project or green team support grants will be awarded to elementary-through-high-school public schools and school districts participating in the Sustainable Jersey for Schools certification program. Local sustainability organizations are encouraged to collaborate with municipalities and schools on projects. Review the 150+ Sustainable Jersey municipal actions (bit.ly/SJActions) and 100+ Sustainable Jersey for Schools actions (bit.ly/SJSActions) for project ideas.
