The Transportation Alternatives Set-Aside (TA Set-Aside) program provides federal funds for community based “non-traditional” surface transportation projects. Many municipalities have used Transportation Alternatives to fund improvements to encourage walking, bicycling and rolling in their community as an alternate mode of transportation. Completed projects may be eligible for points through Sustainable Jersey’s Bicycle and/or Pedestrian Improvement Projects action.
