Grant Sponsor Acknowledgement Requirements

Grantees are required to acknowledge Sustainable Jersey and the specific sponsor of the awarded grant (PSEG Foundation or Atlantic City Electric) as the funders of the project. This is crucial to the ongoing success of the Sustainable Jersey Grants Program. Acknowledging the sponsors during events, on signage, and on grant-funded materials helps Sustainable Jersey sustain funding for future grant cycles. Both the Sustainable Jersey and the sponsor logos should be used whenever possible. Grantees can use the following language when acknowledging the sponsors: “This project was awarded a [grant amount] grant through the Sustainable Jersey Grants Program funded by [sponsor name].”

Acknowledgement Methods

There are three recommended methods for acknowledging the grant sponsors:

Ribbon Cutting Ceremonies

Grantees are required to notify Sustainable Jersey of any project-related ribbon-cutting ceremonies or milestone events so that media outreach can be coordinated with Sustainable Jersey and the sponsor. A photo of the event will be requested in the final report. The purpose of these events is to celebrate the grantee’s completion of the grant project and to highlight the benefits of the Sustainable Jersey Grants Program. Grantees can submit ribbon cutting ceremony invitations using the following Google form.

Signage

Grantees are required to install a sign indicating the project was funded by the Sustainable Jersey Grants Program and the grant sponsor (where applicable). Typically, signage is required for any kind of installation project. Grant funding can be used to cover reasonable signage costs. Photos of the installed sign will be requested in the final report.

Grant-Funded Materials

The grantee should acknowledge the Sustainable Jersey Grants Program and the grant sponsor as providing funding for grant-related programs, activities and events. Copies of materials acknowledging the funders will be required in the final grant report. Grantees can meet this requirement by including both the Sustainable Jersey and the grant sponsor logos on materials.
