The entire community can reap the benefits of utilizing efficient landscaping techniques to create an attractive environment in balance with the native surroundings, local climate, and function of the space.  Learn about actions and resources in both the Sustainable Jersey and Sustainable Jersey for Schools programs that can help municipalities and schools provide landscapes that reduce stormwater runoff, and minimize water use through use of sustainable landscaping practices.

The webinar will feature a demonstration of the Jersey-Friendly Yards website, (www.jerseyyards.org), an easy-to-use, comprehensive source of information for creating attractive, low-maintenance landscaping that is not only better for the environment but also saves time and money.  You’ll also hear from Neil Chambers, a member of the South Orange Environmental Commission and the Maplewood, South Orange, and Millburn Green Team who will talk about their successful ReYard program, which he helped to create.
