Sustainable Jersey and NJ Clean Cities Coalition Host “Eco Patrol: Electric Vehicle (EV) Ride & Drive, Learn & Earn” for Law Enforcement

on Feb 25, 2026

Sustainable Jersey and the New Jersey Clean Cities Coalition invite municipal leaders and police department staff to attend Eco Patrol: EV Ride & Drive, Learn & Earn, a free, in-person event designed to give law enforcement professionals firsthand experience with electric patrol vehicles.

The event will take place on Monday, March 16, 2026, from 2:00 PM to 4:00 pm at The College of New Jersey, located at 2000 Pennington Road, Lot 4, Ewing Township, NJ.

Eco Patrol puts officers behind the wheel of today’s leading EV patrol models, offering an opportunity to test drive vehicles on campus grounds while learning about performance, charging infrastructure, and energy-saving technologies. Attendees will connect with industry experts and explore how EV adoption can help departments reduce long-term operating costs, lower fuel expenditures, and cut emissions — all while maintaining high performance standards.

“Municipal fleets play a critical role in advancing sustainability at the local level,” said Randall Solomon, Executive Director of Sustainable Jersey. “By giving law enforcement professionals the opportunity to experience electric patrol vehicles firsthand, we’re helping communities make informed decisions that can reduce costs, improve efficiency, and lower greenhouse gas emissions across New Jersey.”

As municipalities across the state seek practical solutions to meet climate goals and manage rising fuel costs, electric patrol vehicles are emerging as a viable and cost-effective option for public safety fleets.
