This webinar will explain how New Jersey municipalities and green teams can earn Sustainable Jersey points by taking steps to redevelop underutilized and potentially contaminated properties. These properties, also known as “brownfields” can be repurposed for community health, safety and economic revitalization. Speakers will offer insights and provide a redevelopment roadmap that parallels the four Brownfield Actions: Inventory and Prioritization; Marketing; Reuse Planning; and this fall’s addition, Assessment/Investigation. Speakers Include: Jean Hamerman, Deputy Director, The Creative Center for Land Recycling; Bill Lindner, Manager, Office of Brownfield Reuse, Site Remediation and Waste Management Program, NJDEP; Leah Yasenchak, Principal, BRS, Inc.; JR Capasso, Brownfields Coordinator, Division of Economic Development, Department of Housing & Economic Development, Trenton City.
