This Task Force co- led by NJ Department of Environmental Protection Community Forestry Program and Sustainable Jersey, develops and maintains actions that initiate or expand municipal tree or community forestry management programs.  Municipal governments are asked to develop a comprehensive tree focused plan for their community and then are given additional guidance and credit for initiating tree maintenance, tree planting, tree health and hazard assessments as well as computerized tree benefits inventories.  New actions will also address strategies to address fire threats present in woodland dominated communities.
